After Graduation

The animal science program prepares students for professional career with organization that manage animal product with related animals. This program does have significant flexibility, students need to identify a professional goal and develop a specific plan of study to prepare for it. Students are given a broad education in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, health, animal breeding, ecology, animal behavior, and business operations. Students can also choose a concentration on livestock management, wildlife management, laboratory animal management, small animal care or animal products. Animal science graduates can continue their M.S. degree in animal science or biotechnology areas, or they can work in research, managing or extension positions in industry, government, universities, and colleges.
